About This Spot

Walking into The Quay Seafood Grille feels like stepping into a warm, inviting corner of Murrells Inlet where genuine hospitality meets a laid-back coastal charm. The rhythm here is unhurried yet lively, with gentle chatter floating over soft clinks of glasses and the subtle hum of waves nearby. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike settle in to enjoy the simple pleasure of good company and thoughtfully prepared seafood, all framed by sunlit windows that open onto sweeping water views.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and purposeful—a spot where attentive servers move gracefully through the room, ensuring every detail from refilled lemonade glasses to timely check-ins is handled with care, never rushing yet always present. Conversational little moments emerge, the kind that make a meal feel more like a shared experience than just a dinner out.

As the menu unfolds, it tells a story of the coast—comfortingly familiar yet refreshed with vibrant flavors and a playful touch. Imagine sitting back with a plate of crispy coconut shrimp that accentuates the salty sea air, or savoring the soulful richness of shrimp and grits that feels like a gentle nod to Lowcountry traditions. Each bite is accompanied by the occasional burst of zest from freshly squeezed lemonade or a well-crafted daiquiri, refreshing companions to the catch of the day or layered stacks of fried flounder.

What stands out most is how The Quay doesn’t just serve seafood—it creates a space where the everyday act of eating becomes woven into the fabric of place and moment. The kindness of the staff, the thoughtful pacing of the meal, and the unpretentious surroundings invite you to slow down, look out over the water, and savor more than just food. It’s that feeling of being known, welcomed, and at ease that often draws guests back long after their first visit.

Had a great experience here last night! Was a great place to have our first meal while on vacation. The food was amazing and everything came out perfectly. The staff was super attentive and genuinely kind, which made the whole night even better. Shoutout to the manager Rob for being so welcoming, and our server Sid the Squid was awesome. Great vibes all around. We’ll definitely be back!

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and welcomed. Sydney our wait person was really nice and made us feel comfortable immediately. I really enjoyed my salad with fried shrimp. Of course the view is a major part of the meal and i loved gazing out the windows. The owner/manager came around to say hello and ask us how we were doing which we appreciated. All in all a great experience.

Absolutely fantastic food, service, and views!! Our waitress Rippley was so personable and fun and incredibly attentive the whole time. The GM Rob was also kind and introduced himself and it is clear that he really values his guests’ experiences. The coconut shrimp are so fresh and juicy and my cajun linguine was sinfully good. As we were leaving a waitress noticed I was taking a selfie of the with the sunset and my parents, and she offered to take the photos for us! We sat on the side counter and had an incredible view of the inlet and Garden City Beach!

We loved this restaurant! It was raining but started to clear up and the view was gorgeous! I had the best shrimp & grits that I’ve had in years. Hubby had the shrimp and chicken linguini and it was also delicious. The wine pour was good and they brought your beer to you in a glass. Katie was our server and she was great. The manager was also very kind. We enjoyed talking to him. I did notice how quiet it was and looked up to see they have installed panels to absorb the sound. The parking is tight so carpool if you can. We will definitely come back to this restaurant. Try it… you won’t be disappointed!

Seated immediately at 6:30 on a Sunday. Gorgeous rooftop views! Very quick, friendly service. Our drinks were kept filled even with being busy. My husband got the She Crab and he said best he’s had in yrs. It was so good, after a taste our son ordered a cup! Appetizers were brought out quickly and all were delicious. Main courses came out a little too quickly as we had barely had time to get into apps. But all the food was excellent, well seasoned, prepared etc. Fish platter a little small on fish portion size for price compared to a few other restaurants with similar views. However, with large appetizers plenty to eat. Other mains a nice size. I might get grouper finger app next time instead as I don’t need fries or slaw. Cocktail sauce is spicy! ( not horseradish but hot sauce) but good flavor. Our server, Sydney, was excellent. She was also seated a group of 21 behind us and managed to take care of everyone. Parking is hard! Same lot for The Gulfstream, so give yourself time. Make sure to get a seat on top floor! The breeze and view combined with an amazing meal can’t be beat! Elevator makes access easy. Restrooms on each floor.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Quay We had an amazing experience at The Quay! Rob was fantastic! He was so friendly and even explained the rules of hockey to us. The crab and spinach artichoke dip was phenomenal, and both the mahi with grits and Cajun snapper pasta were some of the best seafood we’ve had on the Grand Strand. Great food, great view, and even better service!

Wow! I just kept saying “Wow.”, while enjoying dinner tonight. We came for the view but the food was far superior to the gorgeous sunset. Our waitress, Ms Ripley, was cheerful, attentive and very polite. Kudos to the staff & chefs. We WILL come back.

First time visiting this place and we loved it. Arrived just before sunset and we were seated by the water. Enjoyed a drink and app to start. All four of us ordered different fish and seafood dishes and we were all very happy with our selections! I got the seafood linguini and my husband got the red snapper. Waitstaff were extremely friendly and efficient, lively music yet we could still Carry on a conversation with our friends. Highly recommend!
